We participate in a number of HSE Schemes and accept patients who are in receipt of:

Maternity & Infant Care Scheme
- Mother & Baby (Ante Natal/Pregnancy Care)
- Infant Care Services – Under 8 Free GP visits.
- Under 8’s require to be registered with HSE.
Additional Maternity Support services
- Breastfeeding support groups/classes -in house with Dr Aoife De Brún
Cervical Check Scheme
Cervical Check is the national cervical screening programme.
The HSE offers a free cervical screening tests to all women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 65 who live in Ireland.
If you are registered on the cervical check list you will be notified when your next screening test is due. If you receive a letter informing you that your next screening test is due, please contact reception to make an appointment with one of our nurses. Please bring your cervical smear letter with you. This is a free cervical smear that is covered under the scheme. Smears outside of this scheme will be charged.

This is a combined medical service provide by your general practitioner and a hospital obstetrician.
- First pregnancy- GP provides an initial exam at 12 weeks
- A further 5 examinations during the pregnancy, altered visits to the maternity unit/hospital.
- Schedule of visits maybe changed depending on your individual circumstances
- If you have any significant illnesses e.g., diabetes or hypertension.
- Care for other illnesses which you may have at this time, but which are not related to your pregnancy, is not covered by the Scheme.
- After the birth, the GP will examine the baby at 2 weeks and both mother and baby at 6 weeks.
- Mothers are entitled to free in-patient and out-patient public hospital services in respect of the pregnancy and the birth and are not liable for any of the standard in-patient hospital charges

If you have a GP visit card, you don’t have to pay to see your doctor. You will have to pay for medicines and other services.
If you have a medical card, you don’t need a GP visit card.
General GP visit card
Anyone can apply for a GP visit card.
Applications for GP visit cards and medical cards are made through the same system. You will first be assessed for a medical card. If you don’t qualify, you will then be assessed for a GP visit card.

All children under 8 years of age living in Ireland can get a GP visit card.
The under 8s GP visit card covers:
- free GP visits
- out-of-hours urgent GP care
- care for children with asthma
Medication costs and hospital charges are not covered.

f you are aged over 70 regardless of income you can apply to receive a free GP Visit card.
